Sales Development Representative (SDR)

We are memberio

For almost 20 years we have built software for organisations that exist to make a difference. Our story started in Finland in 2007, when Mikko Korpela founded the company on a simple conviction: CRM should be genuinely easy to use — and quick to get started with, not a complex, drawn-out implementation project.

Over the years our customers showed us where we were needed most. Non-profit organisations, associations and membership-based organisations were running their work on generic CRMs bolted onto separate membership registers. So we built one platform for them instead — members, donors, fundraising, communications and case handling in a single solution.

In 2026 we took a defining step and rebranded from CRM-Service to memberio. The name change is more than cosmetic: it says out loud what we have always built for — NPOs. Everything our customers trusted us for carries forward: the sector expertise, the modular platform, GDPR-compliant Nordic hosting and our commitment to responsible AI.

“We have always built for non-profits, but today we are saying it louder than ever. memberio exists to amplify positive impact for NPOs — giving them an intelligent platform, passionate people, and a community that supports their work.”

— Turkka Yli-Hakala, CEO

Why we are hiring

memberio is at the start of an intensive growth phase, with planned recruitment across sales, delivery, product and operations. Our ambition is to become the leading platform for non-profits in the Nordics and then in Europe — and outbound is how we get there.

You would be our first dedicated SDR in Finland. That makes this a genuinely new role: you will be the first person here whose entire job is to open conversations with non-profit organisations, and you will help shape how we do it. We are not looking for someone who already has all the answers. We are looking for someone with the right instincts who wants to learn the craft properly — we will teach you our way of working, and you will help us improve it.

One part of that way of working is worth spelling out: we invest heavily in using AI to make sales work smarter. Not as a gimmick, but as a practical part of the daily routine — account research, outreach drafting, meeting preparation and handovers. It means a single SDR here can cover far more ground, and spend the time saved on the part no machine does well: talking to people.

About the role

This is a focused outbound role. You create the conversations; our Sales Executives run the deals.

You will report to our Sales Director, who is based in Sweden and still runs his own outbound and his own customers. Expect a close working relationship: weekly one-to-ones, call coaching and a manager who knows what a hard prospecting day feels like — combined with the freedom that comes from not having someone looking over your shoulder in the same office.

•    Prospect non-profit organisations, associations and membership-based organisations across Finland — by phone, email and LinkedIn

•    Book qualified discovery meetings for our Sales Executives, who take the sales process from there

•    Research your accounts with AI as your co-worker: understand what the organisation does, who the right people are, and what problem we could actually solve for them — in a fraction of the time it used to take

•    Own your own outreach engine — target lists, call blocks, sequences and follow-up — with a clear weekly activity rhythm

•    Use AI to build and prioritise target lists and to draft genuinely personalised outreach, then add the judgement and the human touch that makes it land

•    Produce sharp handover briefs and call-prep material for the Sales Executives — largely AI-assisted, always quality-checked by you

•    Keep our CRM accurate and up to date (we sell CRM — we use it properly)

•    Bring the market back to us: objections, competitors, recurring pains. You will be our closest ear to the ground

You will be measured on outbound activity and, above all, on qualified meetings held.

Who you are

  •  Fluent in Finnish; comfortable working in English, our working language across the Nordics

•    Comfortable on the phone — you would rather pick it up than wait for a reply, and a “no” does not ruin your day

•    Some experience from phone-based work is a strong plus: sales, customer service, fundraising, telemarketing, recruitment or similar. Formal B2B SaaS experience is not required

•    Curious about people and organisations — you ask one more question than most

•    Structured and self-driven: you can plan your week, work your plan, and be honest about the numbers

•    A clear and warm communicator, in writing and in conversation

•    Coachable and ambitious. You want feedback, you want to get better, and you want a career in sales — not just a job in it

•    Curious about AI and willing to use it every day. You do not need to be an expert — we will teach you how we work — but you should find it exciting rather than threatening that a large part of the job is done with an AI assistant at your side

•    Motivated by what our customers do. It matters to us that you find it meaningful to help organisations that spend their days on a cause rather than a margin

Bonus, not a requirement: experience of B2B SaaS, or having worked or volunteered in a non-profit or association yourself.

What we offer

•    A fixed monthly salary plus performance-based commission — your results are visible in your pay

•    Real training, not sink-or-swim: a sales playbook, structured onboarding, call coaching and a manager who still does outbound himself

•    A clear career path from SDR towards Sales Executive, with an explicit development plan — we would rather promote you than replace you

•    Hybrid working from our Helsinki office, with flexible hours and a high degree of autonomy

•    A transparent, collaborative culture with an open dialogue, where initiative is welcomed and your experience and opinions are genuinely valued

•    Strong internal growth opportunities as we scale across the Nordics — being first in a role tends to pay off

•    An organisation where AI is genuinely part of how we work every day, not a slide in a deck — you will learn ways of working with AI in sales that few juniors get access to this early in a career

•    A product you can sell with a straight back: every deal you help create makes a purpose-driven organisation more effective

Benefits

•    Phone and subscription — company phone with subscription

•    Lunch benefit — via Edenred

•    Wellness and recreation benefit — via Edenred

•    Extended occupational healthcare

•    Dental care

•    Leisure-time accident insurance

Sounds like you?

Apply directly on LinkedIn with your CV and a few lines about why this role and why memberio — we care far more about your motivation and how you think than about a perfectly polished cover letter. We review applications on a rolling basis and would like to have our first SDR in place as soon as possible.

Please submit your CV in English. English is our working language across the Nordics, and your application will be reviewed by colleagues in both Finland and Sweden.
