Around half of Finns (48%) donate money — well below the roughly 70 percent seen in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway — and monthly giving has dropped sharply from 18 to 10 percent in a single year. Across the Nordic region, around 30 percent of the population — and close to 50 percent in Finland — do not give at all, a share that remains stable regardless of economic conditions.
